Look What You Made Me Do Cocktail

I saw these huge gummy snakes at Target and I instantly knew what I wanted to do with them. I am a big fan of Taylor Swift and love her new song Look What You Made Me Do. The music video is filled with snakes and I wanted to make a Look What You Made Me Do cocktail!

The drink is a green apple martini rimmed in red caramel... dripping down the glass! I topped it with a gummy snake and a Look What You Made Me Do food pick!

I'll be sipping one of these tomorrow on Halloween and singing...

But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time
Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time
I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined
I check it once, then I check it twice, oh!

JT's Birthday!

My husband's birthday was a few weeks ago and we had a little fiesta on our deck. It was just him, me our babe, a lot of take out and some jar cakes. It was a really nice night!

 Fresh strawberry lemonade!

His birthday cake consisted of Milk Bar's birthday truffles and jar cakes from Jars By Dani!

Happy Birthday JT!

Cannoli Cream Cocktail

This is my most favorite cocktail I have ever made, ever.
I went to my favorite bakery and asked them for cannoli filling and cannoli shells (separate, not assembled). If you go to a good Italian bakery, they will not be shocked by this request because many people buy them this way and assemble them at home to avoid soggy cannoli shells at their parties.

I added a shot of Biscotti Liqueur and a shot of vodka to the cannoli cream and then thinned it down even more with milk.

I rimmed the glass in chocolate and then dipped it in crushed cannoli shells.

Crushed cannoli shells for the rim of the glass.

This drink is exceptionally decadent, making it the perfect cocktail for the holiday season.

Cheers!

Snowflakes!

We saw snowflakes here in NJ last week (thankfully nothing stuck to the ground!) and it inspired me to create these drink tags.  I am going package some of these up with a bottle of wine for hostess gifts to bring with me to all of the upcoming holiday cocktail parties I am attending.

You can find these winter wonderland drink tags in the elizabethdoodah shop!

Cheers!

Pink & Green

My favorite Lilly Pulitzer quotes:

"Anything is possible with sunshine & a little pink."

"Being happy never goes out of style."

"Style isn't just about what you wear, it's about how you live."

"If you haven't any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble."

"Life's a party, dress like it!"

Happy Birthday Lilly!

Pie Pie Me Oh My Martini

An apple pie martini :)

I was working my night away making apple pies with all of the apples we picked last weekend and I got thirsty and thought to myself "I wish I could drink pie!". We had cider in the fridge and extra pie dough to use up... soooo... this happened....

The lattice top turned out like a flaky buttery cookie because I brushed it with milk and then sprinkled it very heavily with cinnamon and sugar before baking it. It was nice to take bites of the pie crust cookie between sips.

I simmered the apple cider (about 4 cups) on a very low heat with a dash of nutmeg and 1 stick of cinnamon for 10 minutes. I let it cool completely before using the spiced cider to make my cocktail. I poured about 10 ounces of the spiced cider into a shaker filled with ice and added 2 shots of vanilla vodka. Shook and then poured though a strainer into my glass. Topped it with my pie crust cookie :)

If you didn't want to take the extra time to spice your cider and wait for it to cool, you could omit that and omit 1 shot of vodka and add a shot of Goldschläger Cinnamon Schnapps to spice it up instead.

Cheers!

Bubblegum Martinis

Rimmed the glass with Chiclets (the tiny size)

My favorite cocktail shaker. I love pink elephants!

Ingredients
2 shots Whipping cream

1 shot Milk
Ice
Gumballs for garnish

Chiclets for garnish

Pour cream, milk, and vodka into to shaker with ice. Shake like crazy and do a fun dance. Strain into martini glass rimmed in Chicklets.

Sip, smile and enjoy!

This drink reminded me of my Cousin Amy. She was gum obsessed when we were growing up. Always chewing on a piece of gum. She would get Perry's Bubblegum Ice cream that had pieces of bright colored bubble gum in it. She would spit the pieces of gum out onto a napkin while we were eating so she could chew the gum after she was done with the ice cream...  It was really disgusting and I always yelled at her. Miss those days! :)

Fun & colorful- bubblegum has a way of making you feel like a kid again.

Bubble Delicious Infused Vodka

I have bought so many flavored vodkas... they are taking over our bar! I had a cocktail idea in mind but it needs bubblegum flavored vodka and much to my surprise .. I do not have bubblegum flavored vodka! Normally I would run out and buy it but bubblegum is a flavor that I don't think I want a lot of! I think it's a once in a great while flavor. So I decided to make my own bubble gum infused vodka today.

You will need; bubble gum, vodka, and a mason jar. That's it!

I used Bubblicious bubble gum.

I cut the bubblegum pieces in half to allow for more surface area to be exposed to the vodka.

Put the bubblegum in the jar.

Then poured in the vodka.

It will be ready to use in a week!

Pumpkin Mudslide; a happy halloween cocktail

I made pumpkin mudslides following a recipe from 3 Olives Vodka. I changed it up a bit by using chocolate chip ice cream and topping it with homemade chocolate whipped cream!

I sifted the powdered sugar and cocoa powder for the chocolate whipped cream to make sure there were no lumps.

I used Graeter's Chocolate Chip Ice Cream (yay Cincinnati!) to make the mudslide.

Mmmm pumpkin!

Cake vodka

I colored a jack-o-lantern face on the glasses with a sharpie marker. I won't run if it gets wet and it comes off quite easily with nail polish remover after your party is over.

It was yummy!
Happy Halloween!
